Client: Strule Arts Centre

Devity Contract Services was contracted as the Principal Contractor, to complete improvement works at the Strule Arts Centre.

The Strule Arts Centre project involved the reconfiguration of a pedestrian area, and incorporated a pioneering “Living Garden Wall” feature, one of the first of its kind In Ireland. The work initiated by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council was led by project consultants, ADP Architects.

The works reinvigorated a previous grey space into an attractive sustainable green space and included the following:

  • Living wall feature and planting including M&E installation
  • External awning installation to provide a covered seating area,
  • New Internal lobby and external doors allowing direct access from the garden to Strule Café
  • Re-laying existing pavers to remediate previous drainage issues
  • New paving and steps in various sections
  • Creation of new planters
  • Creating additional seating areas
  • Design and installation of double planter feature piece
  • Installation of balustrades and handrails
  • Installation of cycle stands that connects to the National Cycle Network
  • Provision of new electrical installation including new external lighting to planted area
  • Internal fit out and specialist works, including M&E
